Gabriela Galafassi & John Steen tied the knot in this swoon-worthy event at Ashton Gardens on July 28, 2012. Katie Lamb Photography captured every eye-popping detail so perfectly. She shared: "John + Gabriela are two incredible people, with incredible families and incredible friends. Gabi and John are one those people that you can see their heart the instant you meet them. They are genuine and selfless. Every interaction they have with others is intentional. Many of Gabriela's relatives came over from Brazil to celebrate her and John's wedding, and it was a blast seeing the energy (and dance moves!) they brought to the reception. " Congratulations Gabi and John! P.S. You can also watch their ever so sweet wedding video by 31 Films, just click here! Vendor Love:

Hello beautiful! I am so excited to share this inspirational wedding from Virginia by Katie Estes Photography. There are a so many gorgeous details such as the bride's anemone bouquet and signs with the sweetest sentiments. I love what the bride and groom did in lieu of a unity candle. They locked the padlock on a door and tied the keys to balloons and sent them in the air. So creative + so symbolic! Have you seen other creative unity-candle replacements? Share in the comments below!
We are kicking off our week here at Woodlands Bride with an adorable little brewery-inspired engagement session of Jonathan and Lori (soon-to-be The Melcher's) by Jonathan Ivy Photography. If you savor antique stores or adore curiosity shops, then a vintage-themed wedding would probably suit you. Putting together the wedding decor is a matter of simply finding meaningful antique items and discovering interesting ways to re-purpose them. If you are a bride on a budget, you can save by raiding your grandparents' attic or renting the items from somewhere like Recollection Vintage Rentals. Here are a few of my favorite vintage wedding decor ideas. Skeleton Keys Why I Love Them: Besides the obvious "key to my heart" symbolism, skeleton keys remind me of the romantic Victorian era. They are relatively inexpensive and can be used so many creative ways. You can use them to dress up the stem of your bouquets. Attach your place cards to them and allow each guest to take it home as your favor. Include a ring of them on the table as part of the tablescape. I found these skeleton at the Etsy shop Chanchala. Lace Of course I love lace at weddings! And I especially love these lace rings by The Papery Nook. The lace gives them a sweet vintage feel but the simple geometric shape keeps it clean and modern. Hang them from the ceiling, trees, or backs of chairs.
Card Catalog You don't have to be a librarian to appreciate how useful a card catalog could be at a wedding. Alphabetize your seating arrangements by name. Guests can pull library due date cards with their name and table number. Likewise, guests can file their good wishes or sound advice back into the catalog. This one is from Jolly Time One.
Antique Scales These are so great for highlighting special items and adding height to a tablescape. You can serve a platter of Hors d'oeuvre from the top or even find one large enough to use as a cake stand. This one is from Moontower Vintage.
Sola Flowers If you are not familiar with sola flowes, they are made from soft tapioca wood. They can be formed to look like many different types of flowers and can be dyed to match any color. I love them because they can be used in so many ways without loosing the soft, natural feel of real flowers. String them on twine for a beautiful garland, create napkin rings, even use them in your bouquet. I found these and tons of others at Supply Crate. If you are having an outdoor wedding in the forest, then embrace your surroundings and draw your inspiration from nature just as this bride and groom did. Racheal Smith and Brian Ward hosted one of the most elegant woodlands themed weddings I have ever laid my eyes on! Am I so in love with the flowers and vintage touches? Yes, deer!
